Tristan and Rutger of WeCamGirls are this Week’s Guests on Adult Site Broker Talk
Tristan is married and has two young kids. He worked as a lawyer and has been in the adult business for more than 10 years. He didn’t like law, so he and his friend Rutger started a business. His favorite thing to do is football, which he calls “the real kind, the kind you play with your feet.” Not the egg ball stuff from the US,” watches, golf, Legos, and good food.
Rutger is also married and has two children. He got his master’s degree in econometrics. In the late 1990s, he began making his first websites. He likes to play basketball, golf, eat good food, and build Legos.
They both live in the Netherlands, not far from Amsterdam, in the same area. In 2012, they made an online community for cam models to hang out. Even though the site is called WeCamGirls, there are also male models there.
A friend of theirs who used to be a web cam model told them about her experiences online one day. When they asked her what the hardest parts of being a performer were, she said there were two. The first was that she didn’t like that she couldn’t talk to many people about what she does for a living. The second was that she was bored because she couldn’t do this.
WeCamGirls was created in March 2012 as a chat system and forum for performers to talk about the different sites they use and the newest tech. Since then, it’s become a real community. They’ve added a commercial profile page, camgirlcollective.com, and a review section.
