The Independent has reported that Indian ISPs have still not unblocked many of the 857 porn sites that were ordered to be blocked by the Indian government early last week.
The universally criticised move saw the ban overturned within a matter of days. However, many sites still remain banned after the government stated that any sites hosting child porn would remain banned.
For some reason, ISPs have been unable to discern which sites contain such material and which haven’t and, refusing to take any risks, have left many sites banned.
I really do feel sorry for Indian people having to put up with such incompetence from their government and also from their telecommunications companies. What a bunch of absolute buffoons.
