Tumblr officially FUCKING SUCKS! Siri's rant.

I just want to warn all other porn stars and anyone tied to the adult industry who is using tumblr currently:

Since Yahoo! bought tumblr, as many of us suspected, it's gone to hell! Here's how!

Tumblr now places a "no index" code inside of any blog containing adult content, which instructs Google not to index that site in search results.

I noticed this earlier this week when I realized that my blog, which has been the only official website I've had for the 1.5 year duration of my career in porn, no longer shows up in google search results. At all.

The kicker is that this morning, I received an email from tumblr notifying me that my account, siripornstar.tumblr.com, has been deleted. (By the way, my 25th birthday was yesterday. Happy fucking birthday to me, eh?)
Thousands of posts, and literally thousands of hours of work I've done over the past 18 months, completely gone with no warning at all. I can't even comprehend the shittiness of it. Stupidly I didn't have all of my blog posts and fan questions/answers backed up - and I'd just decided I would get that done earlier in the week when I saw Yahoo start to bring the shitstorm. I just didn't get around to it soon enough.

I'm posting this partly because I'm so upset I just want to rant about it, but I'm also scared that other porn stars and fans who have put hours upon ours of work into their tumblrs are now going to find themselves in the same boat with me.

So, guys, please don't make my mistake and either move your blog to a site who's not owned by total assholes, like Wordpress, or back up your **** if you want to take your chances and stay on tumblr.

I had one of my blogs deleted a few months ago too. Just email them at [email protected] saying your blog was deleted by mistake and they should have it back up with all your post immediately.

The noindex is true.

With all due respect but the reason your thumblr stuff is coming up is because you are way less known than Siri. Siri is mainstream and all the big sites got her content causing the big free tubes to have her videos and pushing out the tumblr results. Them removing the noindex doesnt help her in this case at all.

Yes, they technically allow them, obviously, but if enough people report you OR if you post a video(not a link to a video, an actual video) they usually end up deleting it and possibly your blog. Anything form just feet to XXX. i've known tons of porn blogs who have been deleted over this. I've been active on Tumblr since 2010 - I know what I'm talking about on this issue. Yahoo hasn't changed anything in the sense of this stuff. So, like I said, someone probably reported Siri for some reason.

I'm sure that that's got more to do with US 2257 compliance law than the presence of the adult content on tumblr. If I link to a porn scene of mine that's one thing, but if I upload the video directly to tumblr then they're hosting the content and might be held responsible if I neglect to present 2257 age & consent verification info. So I understand that.
