Approved Content Owners

What is an ACO?

An Approved Content Owner is a person that has been verified by FreeOnes as holding the copyright to the content they are posting on the FreeOnes Message Board.

Who is eligable to become an ACO?

Pay site owners, employees of paysites, photographers, and any other individual (sometimes an OCSM's husband, boyfriend, webmaster, publicist, etc) are eligable to become an ACO.

Does an ACO need to be verified by FreeOnes Staff?

Yes. In general we ask all ACOs for proof that they have the right to post the copyrighted content on FreeOnes before adding the ACO title to their profile.

What kind of proof does FreeOnes ask for?

It really depends on the situation. Sometimes we may ask for copies of some 2257 documents or model release forms, sometimes if a potential is an employee of a paysite, having an official email address from that site is enough.

What if I've been given permission to post content from a pay site? Can I be an ACO?

No, I'm sorry. ACO status is for the actual owner of the content. Not webmasters promoting pay sites with their own links.

Who do I contact about ACO status?
