For over a decade, Mike Stabile has been writing about sex workers and advocating for sexual freedom as both a journalist and documentary filmmaker. His work has been featured in leading outlets such as The Daily Beast, Salon, Buzzfeed, Playboy, and The New York Times. His documentary Seed Money, which examines the legacy of Chuck Holmes, was named one of the Best Documentaries of 2015 by The Advocate.
Beyond his journalism, Stabile founded Polari Media to help marginalized communities engage with mainstream audiences. Since 2013, he has served as the communications director for the Free Speech Coalition, an organization committed to protecting the rights of workers and businesses in the adult industry.
The coalition has been a voice for the industry for over 30 years, fighting stigma, misinformation, and discriminatory policies. With a track record of success in both legal and political arenas, it has proven that collective action can lead to real change.
