FreeOnes August 2022 Update
Wow, only about 24 days until the end of summer (Sept 23). We’ve been extremely busy getting things done this summer despite vacations and holidays! Lets take a look at all the goodies we’ve gotten done this month!
FreeOnes Gold Membership
As you know, last July we launched a paid membership proof of concept. That would be our $3 Bronze Membership. There are a lot of you who seem to love the offerings, so this summer we created the Silver Membership and just launched the Gold Membership at the beginning of August!
With the Gold Membership you get everything from the lower tier packages PLUS an extra 250 credits for a total of 500 and your choice of VOD that you get to keep forever.
Keep an eye out! We have the Platinum Membership coming soon! We’re also adding new things to the different packages which only adds more value!
Premium Links
See that link at the very end marked with a green line? That indicates the link is Premium! If you’re logged out you’re not going to even be able to click on it!
How can you view Premium Links? All you need to do is log in or sign up for a FREE membership!
Being Able to Download Content with Credits
Remember on the old site how you could download videos for credits? Well, the feature is BACK and we’ve included photo sets this time!
Go to any photo set or video (that isn’t premium, for future reference) and you will be given the choice to download!
Now, if you’re a Bronze member or better, you can download everything to your hearts content without paying 1 credit!
Premium Content – i.e. myFreeOnes Galleries
Ever since we switched to the new site, one of the questions we get weekly is, “when do I get my myFreeOnes galleries back?” I’m happy to tell you that right now as I write these words, we’re working on it.
ETA should be in the next week, at the latest!
We’re starting with making the functionality to upload and store new content in our admin as “Premium”. Once that’s done (and I’ve already tested it, it’s looking great!) we’ll be able to upload any NEW premium content to the site.
In the meantime the developers are working on importing all of the old galleries from the old myFreeOnes database to the new site.
That’s step 1.
Once it’s on the new site and we’ve got everything looking nice and working properly, THEN we’re going to work on getting the old transaction tables for each member that bought myFO galleries into their account. At that point we’ll be able to connect the content with the sales.
How will the Premium Content Work Going Forward?
We’re making the premium content a little different than the old myFreeOnes galleries.
- We’re including videos in premium content this time around!
- Premium photos and videos will live in the photo and video sections of FreeOnes instead of its own area behind the members login. There will even be a filter so you can look at that content exclusively.
- Platinum Members (tba) will have access to ALL premium content as long as their membership is active. Everyone else will have the opportunity to purchase content with their credits.
How Much will Premium Content Cost?
To start the price will be based on how many photos are in a set or the length of a video. We will be playing with and tweaking the price algorithm.
We will also be able to set the price manually. So if we get something super special, we can set the cost higher than normal. Or, if we want to discount something we can! We’ll even be able to set the price to 0 like we did before!

- updating the site menu to get everything we’re working on added in
- getting OCSMs back to the site
- socialization
- premium+ content (i.e. model sold clips)
