New Review Rating Factors Added!
It’s been years since we’ve updated the review rating factors, but we’ve done it! We’ve added 2 new factors for our paysite reviewers to consider when they’re reviewing sites!
We’ve added Niche and Content Release!
What is the Current Review Criteria?
Before I talk about the 2 new review rating factors, I’d like to talk about what the current factors are
While reviewing a site, our paysite reviewers are asked to consider 5 different factors and score them 0-10.
What Does this All Mean?
The existing factors are navigation, extras, value, content and quality. What do they mean and how are these factors scored?
- Navigation: when the reviewer goes into the site, is everything easily accessible? Are they able to easily go to videos or look up a certain porn star? Or is it hard to find anything because the navigation is a total mess? The easier it is to find things, the easier it is to get a 10 in this section!
- Extras: extras are things like blogs, cams, extra sites, journals, games, etc. The more extras, the higher the score with 10 being the highest.
- Value: we ask the reviewer to pretend that they just paid for a membership with their own hard earned money. Would they be happy with their purchase? That would earn the site a 10. If they’re wanting a refund (or the last 30 minutes of their life back) that would earn a 0.
- Content: the amount of content a site has matters! If there is enough content to keep a member entertained for a year or more, that’s a 10 in our book! If you just paid $19.95 for 10 videos, that will probably earn a 0.
- Quality: and of course the content quality matters. Does the site provide HD video and photos at the bare minimum (not counting vintage or retro sites, of course)? Or are they serving you 10 second 480p videos? The better the quality, the higher the rating!
What’s the New Review Rating Factors?
Now onto the new review rating factors! We’ve added Content Release and Niche to the mix!
Content Release: there are a lot of sites that no longer release content (they’ll be getting a 0) and we want to let you know that! We also thought it should factor into the overall score!
However, more niche sites that have exclusive content, or sites that are brand new and don’t have a huge library waiting to go, may only release content 1x a week or month. We’re thinking about all of the possible scenarios when it comes to factoring in the Content Release score!
Niche: when it comes to pay site reviews, our reviewers are thinking about all of the sites they’ve reviewed prior to the one they’re reviewing right now. However, in the grand scheme of things, you really can’t compare Playboy (centerfold and adult models) to Naughty America (big content site with popular pornstars). Or Scoreland (big boob girls) to VIPissy (pissing content).
So with the Niche factor, the reviewer can score Playboy within the centerfold niche and VIPissy against other pissing fetish sites.
